Lille Airport Train Transfers

Lille Airport does not have its own train or underground station, but airport shuttles take passengers to and from the main train station, Gare Lille Europe, and the Metro/tram station Gare Lille Flanders.

Airport Shuttles stop in front of the CIC building at Gare Lille Europe train station, which is located at Place des Buisses. Airport shuttles stop within a short walk of Lille Flanders metro and tram station. From the city center Lille Airport Shuttles begin service at 05.30, providing an hourly service until 20.00 hours.

At Lille Airport theses buses stop in the drop-off zone along the forecourt, where Entrance A is situated, close to the check-in area of Departures. The first shuttle leaves at 05.30 in the morning, then every hour until 14.30. From them on a 30-minute service takes over until 20.30. The last Lille Airport Shuttle runs at 22.30 hours to Gare Lille Europe in the city center, which is about 7 km away. The trip takes ca 20 minutes.

Tickets can only be bought from the driver. Singles cost 8.00 euros per person, return tickets cost 10.00 euros per person. Airport shuttles run every day of the year, including public holidays and Sundays.

From Gare Lille Europe high-speed TGV trains link with cities like Lyon and Paris, a train journey taking just over 4 hours and one hour respectively. Eurostar trains also connect Lille with other parts of Europe, including Brussels and London, but they also connect Lille with Paris. Ypres (Leper) is located ca 30 km distance from Lille, a trip that takes 1 hour and 35 minutes with one change at Kortrijk and costs typically 15.70 euros (standard ticket, one way). Going to Calais from Gare Lille Europe takes just 28 minutes on a fast service and costs typically just 19.50 euros for a single ticket. Travelling to Calais from Gare Lille Flanders takes 1 hour and 23 minutes on regional services.

SNCF trains also travel across the border into Belgium and the Netherlands. For example, a trip to Antwerp (Antwerpen Centraal) takes just 2 hours and 15 minutes without changes, costing ca 30.00 euros per person, one way. Faster services take only 1 hour 32 minutes, but require a change at Brussels-Midi station.

From Lille it's also possible to take the train to various airports in Paris. Going to Paris Orly takes 2 hours and 22 minutes on the slower services and 55 minutes on the fast services. Prices range from 41.00 euros for a single ticket to just 18.00 euros, even on the fast services.
