Bus Transfers To and From Lille Airport

The historic city of Lille is located just 7 km away from Lille Airport. Regular airport shuttles take passengers from the airport to central Lille locations, such as the train station, metro and tram station for example. It takes ca 20 minutes to transfer with Lille Airport buses to the city centre.

Lille Airport shuttles stop mainly in front of the CIC building at Gare Lille Europe train station in the city centre. The train station overlooks the Place des Buisses and offers onward travel via high-speed TGV trains to Paris, a journey taking just one hour, and to Brussels and London via Eurostar trains. Lille Airport shuttles also stop close to the Lille Flanders metro and tram station, from where passengers can take underground trains and trams to other places in Lille.

Lille Airport buses pick up and drop off near Entrance A, which is close to the check-in desks and Departures. Passengers can only buy tickets from the bus drivers on board Lille Airport shuttles, there are no ticket machines inside the terminal. Single tickets cost 8.00 euros per person, return tickets cost 10.00 euros per person (prices 2019).

Lille Airport shuttles run every day of the year, including public holidays and Sundays. The first shuttle leaves Lille Airport at 05.30 in the morning, after which an hourly service is provided until 14.30. From then on Lille Airport shuttles provide a 30-minute service until 20.30, when operating times change again to hourly services. The last airport shuttle of the day leaves Lille Airport at 22.30.

In Lille center, airport shuttles leave Gare de Lille train station at 05.10 in the morning, after which they operate on an hourly basis until 20.00.

The VAL or automated rapid transit underground network in Lille opened for business in 1983. It offers tourists a convenient way of getting around. The Lille City Pass, available through the Tourism office (https://en.lilletourism.com), is a good investment, if you are coming to Northern France on a short city break.

Available for periods of 24, 48 and 72 hours, the Lille City Pass entitles pass-holders to free bus, tram and metro train travel within the city limits, and also free or discounted entrance to many tourist attractions such as museums. Prices start from 25.00 euros for a 24-hour pass.

If you are travelling across the border into The Netherlands, you can take Terravision buses to other European cities and airport. From Eindhoven in The Netherlands Terravision (www.terravision.eu ) offers a bus service to Amsterdam city center, from where Terravision buses travel to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
