The iconic cities of Dunkirk and Ypres are within an 82 km and 30 km distance of Lille. Driving to Dunkirk takes just under an hour thanks to the A25 motorway link. A trip to the Belgian city of Ghent is only 65 km from Lille, and to Brussels it's just 92 km.
At the end of the car rental period, simply return the rental vehicle to the car hire company's designated parking spot. Your booking voucher will tell you to which parking facility you need to return the vehicle. P1 is the long-stay car park at Lille Airport, P2 and P3 handle short-term parking, and P4 is located closest to the terminal.

Lille Airport Shuttles pick up and drop off in front of the CIC building at Gare Lille Europe train station at Place des Buisses and close to Gare Lille Flanders Metro/tram station.
Lille Airport Shuttle can be picked up in the drop-off zone, where Entrance A is located at the terminal, near the check-in desks and Departure zones. Tickets can only be bought from the driver on board Lille's airport shuttles. Single tickets cost 8.00 euros per person, returns cost 10.00 euros per person.
A typical Lille Airport transfer takes ca 20 minutes, depending on the time of day and traffic. The service is daily, including Sundays and public holidays.

Lille Airport does not have its own railway station or underground services, but it is connected via airport shuttles that take only 20 minutes for the transfer between the airport and the city's train station, the Gare Lille Europe. From this train station passengers have access to high-speed TGV trains that take only an hour to Paris, and to Eurostar trains that travel to Paris, Brussels and London.
